Module 1: Assignments – foundation of quantum mechanics module

Thought I’d reflect a little on the assignments for this module.

As you might expect, for a foundation of quantum theory module, they are maths heavy. In fact, there are “two” assignments.

Assignment one has 13 maths heavy questions, testing various knowledge gained in the first four weeks. We’re talking finding probability density functions, expectation values, playing with wave functions etc. It is due end of week 4.

Assignment two has 12 maths heavy questions, roughly 2 per week of the module, as well as an essay to write. They call this a portfolio assignment. It is due end of the module. There’s not much overlap between the two assignments.
