A useful book: Quantum Mechanics – the theoretical minimum

I’ve found this a very useful book. Several chapters are referred to as part of the foundation of quantum mechanics module.

Whilst the course has jumped straight into key components introducing the wave functions at the start, this book builds things up by considering how you might model a probabilistic world (leading to using vectors etc). The authors introduce spin and use that as an example to build the tools needed and how linear algebra meets the job description. Its about halfway through the book before the wave function pops in.

Follow along with me as I learn quantum mechanics and its applications…

Stay in the loop with everything I’m learning
